The so-called LED is the abbreviation of Light Emitting Diode, that is, light-emitting diode, which is a kind of semiconductor solid light-emitting device. It uses solid semiconductor chips as light-emitting materials. When a forward voltage is applied to both ends, the carriers in the semiconductor recombine and cause photons.Emitted to produce light. LED can directly emit red, yellow, blue, green, cyan, orange, purple, and white light.

The first commercial diode was produced in 1960. Its basic structure is a piece of electroluminescent semiconductor material, placed on a leaded shelf, and then sealed with epoxy resin around it to protect the inner core wire,so the LED has good seismic performance.

The light source has experienced the development process of incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp to LED.LED has the advantages of low energy consumption, high brightness, mercury-free, non-toxic, long life, rapid start-up, and strong plasticity. It has now replaced traditional light sources.

LED is called the fourth-generation lighting source or green light source. It has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection, long life, and small size.It is widely used in various indications, displays, decorations, backlight sources, general lighting and urban night scenes.According to the different functions, it can be divided into five categories: information display, signal light, automotive lamps, LCD backlight, and general lighting.
